Job description
We are looking for a colleague who enjoys ensuring systems run smoothly and are designed robustly and efficiently. Ideally, you have experience or a strong interest in Azure cloud engineering, infrastructure as code, authorization and access management, networking fundamentals, and application and database servers. Experience with Kubernetes is highly valuable but we are happy to teach; if you're eager to expand your expertise here, we’ll fully support your growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, maintenance, operations and reliability of our cloud infrastructure. You proactively monitor application performance, identify potential issues, and implement or advise on solutions to optimize systems. You stay updated on industry trends and adapt our infrastructure strategies accordingly, ensuring our systems remain resilient, scalable, and secure.
TJIP hosts all its applications in the cloud, primarily using Microsoft Azure (Linux & Windows VMs, Azure Kubernetes Service). Experience with Azure is preferred, though familiarity with other cloud platforms is also valuable. You will collaborate closely with software development teams, managing the DevOps workflows and ensuring smooth application releases.
As TJIP holds ISO27001 and SOC2 certifications, you'll contribute to designing and managing systems that reliably meet our compliance requirements. Your role involves both advisory and hands-on responsibilities, building dependable infrastructure solutions aligned with these standards.
Why work at TJIP?
TJIP offers more than just an IT career:
- Design and maintain fundamental infrastructure systems
- Continuous learning opportunities to enhance your skills.
- Work informally on impactful, large-scale projects.
- Salary range: €2.900 - € 4.200 gross per month based on a 40-hour work week
Development and Environment:
- An attractive office space, premium equipment, and collaborative colleagues.
- Competitive salary depending on your experience and skills.
- Opportunities for professional development, including TJIP-funded certifications.
- The ability to work from home for parts of the week.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree related to IT, such as Computer Science or Systems Engineering.
- At least 1 years of relevant experience, for example as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Software Engineer with infrastructure responsibilities.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and experience with azure is required.
- Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (terraform) is advantageous.
- Proactive attitude and strong analytical skills to support and advise software development teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts to colleagues.
- Fluent English proficiency: Dutch language skills are beneficial but not required as we are an international infrastructure team.
The Application Process:
We look forward to receiving your application and strive to make the process as seamless and positive as possible. Once we've reviewed your application, we'll contact you within two days. If there’s a potential match we will send out a small scope technical test to see how you structure your problem solving. Should we like your submission we will schedule a second in-person interview shortly after. Each step of the process is designed to determine if we are the right fit for each other. If the answer is a clear "yes," we’ll quickly present you with an offer. Our goal is to complete the entire process within two weeks.
